About OV Cornhole
OV Cornhole is a family run company that has been manufacturing top quality cornhole boards since 2008. Our mission is to create the absolute best performing cornhole boards and cornhole products on the market. Our warehouse is based in El Dorado, CA about 45 mins east of Sacramento and only 45 minutes from beautiful Lake Tahoe. We carry a wide selection of cornhole products, from plain to custom designed boards, drink score towers, airmail boxes, a variety of bags plus much more. Because we have been building and selling boards in California longer than most, we know and understand what is desired by our customers when choosing cornhole products: top quality hand crafted products at an economical price made right here in the USA.
Our Journey
OV Cornhole comes from humble beginnings. The company was created in 2008 by Joe and Becky Schwartz, after Joe played cornhole for the first time at a friend’s house and fell in love with it. Originally Joe had set out to only make cornhole boards for family and friends but with the craftsmanship that he used and the quality product he was putting out, word spread quickly that Joe was the guy.
At that time in California there were not many places to buy top quality cornhole boards and products at a reasonable price. With the need there, orders coming in, and because we loved and believed in the game so much, we decided to create OV Cornhole.
Many years of creating cornhole boards in our garage allowed us the opportunity to perfect exactly what makes a cornhole board great. Practice makes perfect and that is true for us here at OV Cornhole.
As we witnessed continued growth with the game we saw a new need arise—an organized place for cornhole enthusiasts to play with others. We created our sister company, the California Cornhole Association (CCA), in 2012. We are dedicated to making a way for all those that love cornhole to have a way to connect. We began to have cornhole nights at local breweries and venues and that lead us to running tournaments locally and throughout the State.The CCA has expanded beyond our expectations, we have 12 directors working throughout Northern CA running leagues and even adding our newest endeavor a Cornhole 101 night at a local brewery. We now offer team building, corporate and nonprofit packages. The CCA has thrown the most and largest cornhole tournaments here in CA and we keep growing.
Fast forward to now
In 2018, two of our OV Cornhole sponsored cornhole players made it to the National Cornhole Competition that was aired on ESPN 2. It was an incredible moment to watch our company be represented on National TV. OV Cornhole continues to grow because of the quality products that we offer. We currently provide all of the boards for the CCA and many other cornhole leagues and groups throughout CA.
